Anderson keen on Serie A stay

Brazil international Anderson has said that he wants to remain at Fiorentina beyond his loan spell, Sky Sports understands.

The midfielder moved to the Serie A side two weeks ago, and has since made two league appearances having managed just four in the first half of the season under David Moyes.

Despite not being used nearly as much as he’d have liked, the 25 year old has said that he respects the United manager though he does see his future away from Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, former United striker Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that his former Manchester United teammate Patrice Evra helped convince him to secure a move to Monaco, ESPN understands.

The Bulgarian swapped Craven Cottage for the Stade Louis II last week, and will be hoping he can help his new side close the gap between themselves and leaders Paris Saint Germain, who they face at the weekend.

Finally, Barcelona midfielder Xavi has ruled out a move to the Premier League at the end of his career, according to Sky Sports.

The 34 year old, who recently made his 700th first team appearance for the Catalan club, has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and United in the past, but has insisted that he will never walk away from the club.
