Falcao happy with move to United

United recently gave debuts to a number of their new summer signings in the 4-0 win over QPR, but one most important names among them was Radamel Falcao. The Colombian international is regarded as one of the deadliest strikers in world football after having scored more than 200 goals in just under 350 matches in his career. The 28-year-old recently joined United for a season long loan deal. Soon to be a 29-year-old, several eyebrows were raised at United spending over £ 6 million just on the loan fee, while they could end up paying another £ 43.5 million if they decided to make the move permanent.

In addition to the impressive figures surrounding the transfer fees, Falcao is also thought to be earning around £ 18 million per season. This makes him more expensive than Wayne Rooney in this regard. He made his debut against QPR. Even though he failed to score in his first appearance at Old Trafford, the new number nine promises to be an excellent addition to the squad. He thanked his supporters for their immense appreciation ahead of his debut. Other players who made their home debuts include the likes of Angel di Maria and Daley Blind.

Di Maria was the star of the show after scoring and assisting several goals. “I am very happy for this victory and the support was great. I want to continue that way. I want to say thank you to the fans and I enjoyed that a lot, this match. It was fantastic. I almost scored. The goalkeeper was good. I hope to score the next game. It felt good to make my debut here at Old Trafford and I am happy to get the win. I am enjoying this moment. It is an extraordinary stadium, a legendary stadium,” said Falcao.
