Fellaini set for United bow

Marouane Fellaini is in line to make his Manchester United debut in tomorrow’s match against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney is likely to miss out as he continues to recover from a head injury, so Danny Welbeck is expected to support Robin Van Persie, while Chris Smalling may replace Phil Jones at right-back.

Wilfred Zaha is still awaiting his first league appearance for the Premier League champions, and would relish the chance to make his bow against his former club.

Meanwhile, United turned down a late attempt from Palace to re-sign England international Zaha during the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Star.

The 20 year old made over 100 league appearances in just over three seasons with the Eagles, and became Sir Alex Ferguson’s final signing for United back in January.

He was loaned back to the London club for the second half of last season, and played a key role in their return to the top flight.

Elsewhere, the Daily Star also claim that David Moyes will make a move for former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song when the transfer window reopens in January.

The 26 year old has failed to hold down a first team place since moving to Barcelona last August.
