Pique: Fabregas won’t leave

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has said that his former club are ‘wasting their time’ trying to sign Cesc Fabregas, the Metro understands.

David Moyes is reported to be lining up a final bid of £35m for the Spain midfielder, though Pique, who spend four years at Old Trafford prior to his move to the Catalan club, believes they have no chance of securing his services.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star understands that Gareth Bale has told Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave the club, amid interest from United and Real Madrid.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would reportedly be willing to sell the Wales international, but only if a world record bid of £80m is lodged.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has once again stated that he believes Cristiano Ronaldo will end his career at the Bernabeu.

The former United star has been linked with a return to Old Trafford, though Perez has told French newspaper L’Equipe that the Spanish club “revolves around” Ronaldo.

Finally, Borussia Dortmund are keen on re-signing Shinji Kagawa, the Mail Online understands.

The Japan international struggled somewhat in his first season in English football, though David Moyes is likely to keep hold of the 24 year old, who signed for £17m last summer.
