Robson urges strong finish from United

Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson has called for Manchester United to finish the season strongly and secure qualification for the Europa League, according to the Mirror.

The reigning Premier League champions sit eighteen points behind league leaders Chelsea after Tuesday evening’s 3-0 home defeat to neighbours Manchester City.

Thanks to City’s triumph in the Capital One Cup earlier this month, United would only need to finish sixth in the table to guarantee a place in Europe next season.

David Moyes’ men currently sit five points off the top six, but will hope to close that gap at the weekend when they host Aston Villa, and sixth place Tottenham Hotspur travel to free-scoring Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Turkey manager Fatih Terim is keen for Adnan Januzaj to join his side, ESPN understands.

The teenager, who has burst into the United side this season, has a number of options regarding his international career including Belgium, Albania and eventually England, for whom he will qualify through residency in a few years’ time.

The 19 year old rejected a call-up from Kosovo, the birth place of his mother, last month and Terim is hopeful that he will plump for Turkey.
