Should United Let Rooney Move On?

Wayne Rooney has been one of the greatest players ever to grace the Theatre of Dreams, but it may be time for Manchester United to let the legend add to his nest egg by living out his playing days in China.

Football insight sites have been keeping their ears to the ground in the January transfer window. Patrick van Aanholt is on his way to Crystal Palace and Robert Snodgrass has completed a move to West Ham United, but this revelation will come as a surprise even to the experts. According to the Express, Rooney is on the way out of Old Trafford in a shock move to the Chinese Super League. Continue reading

Rooney Injury Setback

Manchester United suffered a major injury setback with the news that Wayne Rooney will be missing around two months of action due to a knee injury. The forward suffered this ligament injury recently and this leaves the club with Anthony Martial as the recognised come forward within the squad.

Martial has been a decent scorer for United since his £ 36 million move from the French league in the summer. However, he is far from being a reliable source of goals for the club. At just 19 years of age, he is also very young to shoulder the responsibilities of such a big club. Continue reading

EVANS BACKS ROONEY

Jonny Evans has backed Wayne Rooney to silence his critics. Evans, who played a lot of games alongside Rooney while at Old Trafford, believes Rooney is a feisty character and is capable of bouncing back from any situation.

Rooney has not been that productive in the Premier League games for United in the 2015-16 Season and has drawn criticism because of that. His numbers in the other competitions and also, in the international games have been alright, though there is no denying that the star striker from England has not looked like playing his best Football at all lately. ROONEY HITS 50

Finally Wayne Rooney managed to get to that magic number of 50 which made him the most successful English striker of all time in terms of numbers.

The Three Lions’ skipper found the back of the net in the 84th minute of the Switzerland game yesterday and with that, he pushed Bobby Charlton to no. 2 in the list of England’s top goal scorers.  But, does that really mean Rooney is the best striker to be produced by England ever? Falcao recovering from Injury Faster

Colombia has announced and confirmed to the public that RadamelFalcao will not be featured in the upcoming friendly matches that the Colombian national football team has scheduled to play against United States and Slovenia on November 14 and 18.

Falcao is recovering from a calf injury he picked up a few weeks ago and this has forced the Colombian attacker on having to miss out from the last 3 Premier League matches of Manchester United and now he will not be able to perform for his country either.

There will be however a number of players in the squad of Louis van Gaal that have been called up including: Luke Shaw, Michael Carrick, Chris Smalling and the captain of the team Wayne Rooney. These players will be representing England either on the sidelines of England or on the center stage in the pitch when facing off against Slovenia on November 15 in a 2016 Euro’s qualifying match.

England is leading the way in Group E with 9 points and is expected to pass the group stages without having many difficulties or problems.

Even though international matches is a great place for players to represent their respective countries and nations as well being an ideal moment to take a break from club duties, it’s also dangerous for the managers of clubs as the players are often injured when playing at the international stage and when this match is over, Manchester United will be playing against Arsenal on November 22 in a hugely important match.

Manchester United struggled just to claim a victory against the relegation threatened club Crystal Palace in a match that was decided by a lonely goal from Juan Mata and Louis van Gaal will need all of his players without injuries and without physical concerns if the Dutch coach wants to collect a good result against Arsenal.
