Andre Schurrle says that Manchester United will Spend lot of Money

Wolfsburg striker Andre Schurrle says that Manchester United are almost certain to spend a lot of money on new players in the summer.

The club went on a spending spree only in the transfer window before last. They allowed manager Louis van Gaal to spend vast sums of money on players like Angel di Maria. The spending spree, though, did not bring dividends for the club, as they did win only one major honour under the Dutchman. Failure to qualify for the Champions League twice in the last three seasons raises questions about the quality of the squad even after the vast expenditure.

As a result, the club are looking to once again open the wallet in order to back manager Mourinho, who is regarded as one of the best in the transfer window. Even though the Portuguese has been accused in the past of not developing in players at the club, he has always made a major impact with his signings. The likes of Wesley Sneijder at Inter, Didier Drogba at Chelsea, and Cesc Fabregas in his second spell at Chelsea are a testament to this fact.Schurrle was allowed to leave Chelsea when Mourinho was the manager of the London outfit, but the German has no grudges against his former manager.

“It’s difficult. He expects a lot of his players. He will probably buy a lot players that suit him and how he wants to play and we will see how they get on.If you do what he wants and play well, it’s easy. But sometimes he wants a lot of you and it’s difficult. He is a very demanding manager. I think it’s good for Manchester United. He’s a good manager and he knows how to win things. I think he will do well at Manchester United,” said Schurrle.
