Bale Real deal could benifit United

Gareth Bale could hold the key to Cristiano Ronaldo’s potential return to Old Trafford, according to the Sun.

Manchester United are confident that the La Liga giants would be willing to offload their star player, should the manage to complete a deal for the Welsh international, who last season swept the board with regard to individual honours.

Club president Florentino Perez is confident that Ronaldo will be a Real Madrid player next season, but the former United man has been keen to stress that he has not signed a new deal with the club.

Bale has been constantly moved with a move to the Spanish capital in the close season, with the possibility of a world record transfer fee needed to land the player being mooted.

Perez has already broke that record on four occasions when signing Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Kaka and Ronaldo, who cost around £80million in 2009.

Elsewhere, Danny Welbeck has admitted that he needs to add goals to his game if he is to remain part of the United first team.

The England international’s only league goal last season came in the 4-2 victory over Stoke City, though he was regularly played out on the wing.
