Barca keen on Januzaj

Barcelona have joined the race to sign Manchester United sensation Adnan Januzaj, the Mail Online understands.

The eighteen year old, whose stunning match winning double secured a first win in three Premier League games for the champions, will be out of contract at the end of the season and a number of clubs are said to be monitoring his situation.

Manchester City have reportedly line up an offer that would see the Belgium-born midfielder triple his wages, and now La Liga champions Barca have thrown their hat into the ring.

The Catalan club have had an eye on the teenager since he made the switch from Anderlecht to Manchester in 2011, and are confident that they can secure his services next summer.

However, United are set to offer him a lucrative contract to keep him at Old Trafford long term, having learned their lesson following Paul Pogba’s move to Juventus last summer.

The France international moved to Turin on a free transfer having made just a handful of first team appearances in England, and has excelled in Serie A.

His five goals in twenty-seven appearances helped secure a second straight league championship for the Old Lady, while the 20 year old opened his league account for this season with the winning goal against local rivals Torino the weekend before last.
