Martial trusts in Solskjaer

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the right man for the job. He said that the manager has brought about a new sense of hope at Old Trafford since Mourinho left, even if results haven’t quite matched up to expectations.

Anthony Martial has worked with three different managers ever since he joined Manchester United and he reckons that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the best one so far. Continue reading

UNITED KEEPING POGBA, EXTENDING LINDELOF

As speculation increases on the possible move of Paul Pogba from Manchester United to Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane has consistently refused to be drawn into commenting on the issue. The World Cup winner was the subject of a huge expectation of a move from England to Spain (especially as Zidane is a fan) but the deal has not happened… yet!

There are rumours that Madrid offered less than £30 million and James Rodriguez, so it’s no wonder United swiftly rejected. Continue reading

The new season is nearly upon us and Manchester United have made a bright start in pre-season. There is still plenty of work to be done before the summer transfer window closes. Looking at the first ten fixtures that United have in the new Premier League season, there are some big games ahead for the Reds.

All these games will have plenty of betting opportunities available. Continue reading

Valencia boss hails Eric Bailly

Valencia head coach Marcelino has hailed the qualities of Eric Bailly and believes the centre-back needs better luck to cement a regular starting role with Manchester United.

The Ivory Coast international joined the Red Devils from Villarreal in the summer of 2016 but he has yet to become a regular starter amid concerns over his form and fitness. Continue reading

Mourinho questions the attitude of his players

Jose Mourinho once again was not happy with the attitude of the players of Manchester United after the Red Devils could only secure one point from their visit to Southampton yesterday.

This was one away game where United were the strong favorites and should have won by opinion of premier league experts, not only because they had the stronger team on paper, but also because Southampton’s form in the Premiership has been terrible in the on-going season and they have remained in the relegation zone right from the start of the season.  Continue reading

Time to Play Super 6?

Is it time that you had a go at SkyBet’s weekly Super 6? The fact that it is free to play should be enough to tempt pretty much all fans to have a go, but when you throw into the mix that there is a potential £1 million in cash to be won, you’d have to be crazy not to want to get involved – especially if you follow the football anyway and have a reasonable guess as to how well each team is performing.

If you’re not already playing, you are missing out – the chance to win big without even putting a penny of your own money at risk!

What is Super 6?
Sky’s Super 6 is one of a number of ‘recruitment tools’ that big bookmakers are using to try and get you to set up an account with them, and have a punt on their site – they are taking the calculated bet that once you’re on their site each week for the Super 6, you’ll also have a cheeky accumulator bet, and maybe one on Harry Kane (even if he’s not set the Premier League on fire just yet) to net first in the big game on Saturday. But just because they want to, doesn’t mean you have to (save your money for the other betting offers from other bookmakers that are out there week after week!), and we recommend that you just sign up and play the Super 6 for free.

The fact that you can download the app to your phone, and even set reminders to make your selections before kick-off, means that there can be no real excuse – you can literally submit your entry in 2 minutes flat, and with absolutely no effort whatsoever!

So how do you play?
To win the Super 6, you need to correctly predict the score of the 6 matches chosen by SkyBet. It’s a bit like an accumulator bet, in that you need all 6 results to come in, for you to take the money. Most players can get at least one of the scores right, but it takes a lot of intuition / luck to get all 6 correct, especially in the unpredictable game of football, where mistakes happen, goals can be scored in seconds, and referees can make borderline decisions (like sendings off) that will directly impact the results.

If you get all 6 scores correct then you claim your huge cash prize! If someone else has also managed to get all 6 results too, it comes down to the ‘Golden Goal’ prediction – you pick a match and put your guess as to when the first goal will be scored in – with the nearest prediction taking the spoils. If no-one guesses all 6 scores, a £5000 cash prize goes to the player who got the most right.

Getting Help
There are a few fan websites / facebook groups that try to predict what the scores would be, but they tend to be happy amateurs, having a bit of a guess in their lunch hours. At FootyAccumulators, they have experienced betting professionals (who actually do it for a living!) who make their suggestions on their Super 6 tips page. Obviously, it’s difficult to predict (believe it or not, SkyBet don’t actually want to give out the million quid every week…), but the FA team have done reasonably well at getting at least 3 of the scores correct for the last over each gameweek.

Their top super 6 tips are to follow the form – if a team is in good form then they should have a better chance of carrying on, with that all important ‘momentum’. To do the job right you also need to have a closer look at their goal scoring / conceding tallies – when a team that is knocking them in for fun faces a team that concedes them like they are playing in the playground, it can be anybody guess what the end score will be, but you can bet it will be big numbers!

De Gea signs new contract

Manchester United are confident that goalkeeper David De Gea will put pen to paper on a new five-year contract that will see him stay at the Red Devils until 2023.

The Spaniard has been Manchester United’s most influential player over recent years, winning three Player’s player of the year awards in the last five seasons, and was the winner of the Premier League golden glove award last season, keeping 18 clean sheets. News of his contract renewal was released in the press as De Gea made the worst start possible to the World Cup, making a huge mistake in a draw with Portugal. Continue reading

Jose Mourinho Dismisses Paul Pogba Exit Talk

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has indicated that Paul Pogba would not be leaving the club during this summer’s transfer window. The France international has experienced a mixed run of form this season and this has witnessed him feature on the substitutes’ bench on a couple of occasions.

Despite this, the Frenchman has remained a valuable member of Mourinho’s side since his arrival and the Portuguese manager has now ruled out the possibility of his exit by saying: “I think he’s going to be here next season. That’s my feeling. I can give the guarantee that I don’t want him to leave, that the club doesn’t want to sell him and I can give you the guarantee that we don’t have any approach from him or his agent or from any club. In this moment for me, he’s staying, yes.” Continue reading

Hugo Lloris Backs Paul Pogba To Come Good Soon

France captain Hugo Lloris believes compatriot Paul Pogba is still struggling to find his form after overcoming multiple injuries during the current campaign. The midfielder started the season in sublime fashion as he contributed goals as well as assists for Manchester United, but his game time became restricted from September after suffering a hamstring issue.

Pogba has since not been in the best of form for the Red Devils, and Lloris admits that it is a complicated situation. The 24-year-old’s inconsistency has cost him a regular role with United, but Lloris has backed the midfielder to return to his old-self sooner rather than later, he said: “Paul stays a strong player in our team, he is one of our leaders.

Juventus interested in Martial

It is believed that Italian side Juventus might be interested in signing the young French forward Anthony Martial from Manchester United. Jose Mourinho has hinted that he might allow the player to leave at the end of the season if he gets the right offer.

Juventus who are keen to build a side that will allow them to win the Champions League are reported to be interested in the player. Having crashed out in the Quarter Finals this time around, they are keen to strengthen the side, with a new goal-scoring striker being top of the club’s shopping list! Continue reading
