Cleverley to be assesed ahead of Saints match

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley will be assessed ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s match with Southampton.

The 24 year old was forced to withdraw from international duty with a calf injury, but may be fit in time to feature at Old Trafford.

Rio Ferdinand may return after recovering from a groin problem, while Adnan Januzaj may keep his starting spot after impressing against Sunderland two weeks ago.

Three points could see David Moyes’ men rise to fifth in the division depending on other results, though they will remain below the Saints regardless.

The South Coast club are currently fourth in the table, having kept four clean sheets in a row and collect ten points in that run.

Meanwhile, Adnan Januzaj has given the club a boost by stating that he is committed to achieving success at Old Trafford, the Independent understands.

The 18 year old went from relative obscurity to being one of the hottest properties in European football after his match-winning display at the Stadium of Light earlier this month.
