De Gea victorious in Israel

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has emerged victorious from the European under 21 Championships after helping his side to a 4-2 win against Italy in yesterday’s final in Jerusalem.

However, the man of the match was reported United target Thiago Alcantara, who’s first-half hat-trick set the Spaniards on route to victory.

The 22 year old is available for a cut price of around £15million due to him not appearing in at least 60% of Barcelona’s games last season.

Meanwhile, the Premier League fixture list for the forthcoming season has been announced.

United will begin the defence of their title with a trip to League Cup winners Swansea City on August 17th, while David Moyes’ first home game will be a tough test against Chelsea the following weekend.

August ends with a trip to Anfield, which comes three weeks before the first leg of the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium.

Boxing Day sees the club travel to newly promoted Hull City, while they begin 2014 by hosting Tottenham Hotspur of New Year’s Day.

Manchester City travel to Old Trafford on March 1st, with Liverpool the next visitors two weeks later, while United’s season finishes with a trip to Southampton.
