De Gea’s Madrid hope

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has vowed to one day return to former club Atletico Madrid.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper AS, the 22 year old declared his pride in watching Diego Simeone’s men clinch the Copa Del Rey against rivals Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, having already clinched Champions League football for next season.

The shot-stopper went on to say that he hopes to one day return to the Spanish capital, where he spent eleven years before moving to United in 2011.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have been linked with a move for Belgian Under 19 international Adnan Januzaj, according to the Daily Star.

The attacking midfielder, who last month clinched the Barclay’s Elite Group , joined United from Anderlecht in 2011 when Barcelona also showed an interest.

Elsewhere, the Mirror understand that Nani’s move to big spending French Ligue 1 side Monaco is moving ever closer, with David Moyes reportedly deciding that the Portuguese winger is surplus to requirements.

Nani made just seven league starts last season, and could potentially fall further down the pecking order at Old Trafford following the arrival of Wilfred Zaha from Crystal Palace.

Finally, Manchester United legends lost 2-1 to Real Madrid legends at Old Trafford yesterday, with Ruud Van Nistlerooy getting the hosts goal.
