Manchester United have become the latest side to be linked with a move for Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.
Spanish newspaper Marca have reported that the Colombian, who has long been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Chelsea, has been in talks with United over a potential summer transfer.
The claims will do nothing to quash rumours that Wayne Rooney is set to leave Old Trafford, while Javier Hernandez has also been linked with a move away from the club in a bid to play more regularly.
Falcao, who has scored 22 goals in 27 La Liga appearances this season, would cost somewhere in the region of £45 million, around three times as much as long time United target Robert Lewandowski of Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile, the Express have reported that the club will battle with Arsenal for the signature of Barcelona forawrd Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean international’s future has been the subject of much speculation following a stop-start season at the Nou Camp.
Finally, United will reportedly have to play Ajax £17 million pounds if they want to secure the services of midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Danish international, who is also a target for Liverpool, has this season scored eight goals, and made thirteen assists for Frank De Boer’s side, who are three points clear at the top of the Eredivise.
