Galatasaray give up on Nani

Manchester United have turned down a bid of £6million pounds from Galatasaray for Portuguese winger Nani, according to the Turkish clubs chairman Unal Aysal.

The 26 year old has one year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, but has been told he can leave should the right offer come in.

The club are reportedly holding out for around £8.5million for the player they signed from Sporting Lisbon six years ago, who made just seven starts in the Premier League last season.

Aysal has confirmed that Galatasaray have now withdrawn their interest in the player, insisting they cannot bid any more for him.

Elsewhere, French Ligue 1 side Monaco are reportedly planning a world record £85million bid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The mega rich outfit will also offer the former United player around £330,000 per week which, with no income tax being charged to residents in the principality, would make him the highest paid player in world football.

Finally, bookmakers are now pricing Manchester United at even money to sign Robert Lewandowski, following Borussia Dortmund’s announcement that they will not sell the forward to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.

They do however have Munich as his most likely next destination, with the Polish international potentially remaining with Dortmund for the last year of his contract before leaving on a free transfer.
