LVG frustrated at conceding late

Manchester United wer 5 minutes away from defeating Chelsea as the team of Louis van Gaal had scored the opening goal of the game at the 61st minute through the likes of Jesse Lingard and just when the match seemed to be reaching it’s end, the referee decided to add 6 minutes of extra time and it was enough for Diego Costa to tie the game up 1-1 as he rescued 1 point for Chelsea.

This late goal from the Brazilian striker Diego Costa ensured that both sides had to settle with 1 point which is a fairly disappointing result for Louis van Gaal and his players as they had the score advantage for a pretty long time and in the final few minutes of the game, Costa managed to equalize everything and this result has frustrated the Dutch coach who made his voice be heard after the match was over.

Diego Costa managed to break into the defence of Manchester United in the last stages of the match after Daley Blind slipped and this allowed Costa on firing a shot which was blocked by Borthwick-Jackson but Costa capitalized on the follow up as he scored the 2nd and last goal. This mistake from Daley Blind cost Manchester United the entire match and Louis van Gaal wants to see his players not making any further mistakes such as this one.

There are already transfer rumours swirling about the future of some Manchester United players, including Blind, with the Dutch coach having previously explicitly told the squad that every single one of them was playing for their place.

Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal voiced his frustration t the end of the match. “When you have played as well as we did today and you are not making the gap smaller. It isn’t a lack of concentration. It is not being composed when you are defending. When we have the ball we have to keep the ball and you have to give the right pass at the right moment. We didn’t do that.

“You can say it’s misfortune but that’s not the first time it’s happened to us. At Newcastle last month it was also in added time that the hosts equalized to make it 3-3. We have to do better. We have to improve in that way but I’m happy with the performance. It’s frustrating.
