Manchester United were at the Bramall Lane on Thursday night taking on bottom-table team Sheffield United looking to climb up the Premier League table. However, that was not the only activity the club was engaging in, as there was something else going on behind the scenes.

At the AON Training Complex, Kai Rooney, Son of United legend Wayne Rooney was putting pen to paper as he was signing on the dotted lines. The Red Devils are always looking to snap up young promising talents across the world and they look to have captured yet another one.

At the age of eleven, Kai is already being tipped for big things and is touted to fulfill his huge potential that is already visible given his style of football.

He follows his father’s footsteps in joining the Old Trafford club at such a young age (though younger) and will be looking to enjoy a wealth of great success just like his father did.

It would also be a thing of pride to the young lad’s parents Wayne and Colleen Rooney as they both stood by the side of their son, posing for the camera while he pens his signature on the contract.

The legacy of Rooney senior will forever be remembered and appreciated by Manchester United fans as he made a name for himself playing for United right from the Sir Alex Ferguson era. He was welcomed to the club after he left Premier League side Everton and would later leave United as a legend.

Kai would have a huge mountain to climb if he wants to follow in his father’s footsteps though, judging by the fact that Wayne is the current top scorer in the whole of Manchester United’s history. He is also the top provider in the club.
