Moyes ‘considering’ Van Persie sale

David Moyes is reportedly considering selling Robin van Persie at the end of the season, according to the Metro.

The Manchester United manager is said to be growing increasingly frustrated at the striker’s attitude, with the player failing to replicate his form from last season under the Scot.

The 30 year old, who won the Premier League’s Golden Boot last season, has been linked with a return to Arsenal, who he left for Old Trafford in the summer of 2012.

However, he has managed just eleven league goals this season though he has had three spells on the side-lines.

He is currently on international duty with the Netherlands, but is unlikely to feature in this evening’s friendly against France after falling ill in the lead up to the game.

Elsewhere, ex-United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has said that his former club ‘lack fight’ under David Moyes, ahead of the second leg of their Champions League last sixteen second leg, according to Sky Sports.

Carroll, who was at Old Trafford between 2001 and 2005, watched as his teammates secured a famous 2-0 victory against United last week.

They pair face off at Old Trafford two weeks today, with United trailing by two goals to nil.
