Ronaldo coy on future

Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to be drawn on speculation that he is set to leave Real Madrid this summer.

The forward played in Real’s 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund yesterday, though the La Liga champions lost 4-3 on aggregate.

Speaking after the game, Ronaldo told reporters: “I have two more years on my contract; I am not concerned about that”, before stating that his only concern is glory.

“I want to win wherever I am. That is what I want most, I am not concerned about renewing”.

United are said to be keen on re-signing their former player, who was named European Footballer of the Year whilst at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, the club are favourites with the bookmakers to sign Ronaldo’s teammate Angel Di Maria, who is reportedly unhappy with his contract situation at the Bernabeu.

Another player reportedly on United’s radar is former Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, who is also a target for Paris Saint Germain.

The 24 year old, who made just two league appearances whilst at Stamford Bridge, is one of the most sought after players in Europe following his impressive displays for Benfica this season.

The Serbian international has eight full international caps, and is thought to be valued at around £15 million.
