Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will not be handing in a transfer request, Sky Sports understands.
The England international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer, with Chelsea making two bids, both of which rejected out of hand by the Premier League champions.
However, after turning in a solid individual performance in Monday evening’s match against the Blues, the 27 year old looks set to remain with the club, who he joined back in 2004.
Meanwhile, United have agreed a fee with Everton for midfielder Marouane Fellaini, according to the Metro.
The bid is thought to be in the region of £20m, but could rise to £24m and appears to signal the end of the clubs attempts to sign defender Leighton Baines.
Elsewhere, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that Juan Mata was left out of Monday evening’s goalless draw at Old Trafford for fitness reasons, Sky Sports understands.
The Spain international has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge since Mourinho returned to the club, with United one of many clubs said to be interested in securing his services.
However, the 50 year old has confirmed that he is not looking to sell the player, who was named the clubs Player of the Year for the second time last season.
