Reports in the media are today split regarding the future of Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney.
Words coming out of France seem to suggest that a potential move to Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain is “done”, though it appears that the England international would prefer to remain at Old Trafford.
The Independent claim that Rooney is likely to sign a new contract with United, despite PSG’s interest, whilst reports of Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao moving to Manchester have been quashed.
It had been claimed that the Premier League leaders had become favourites to sign the Colombian international, but there appears to be no plans for the club to make a move.
One player who could soon be off to the French capital is Nani, who has been linked with a £10 million move after talks of a new contract at Old Trafford seem to have broken down.
Elsewhere, The Express have reported that the club will battle with Arsenal for Valencia defender Adil Rami.
The centre back, who is valued at around £10 million, is contracted until 2015 but would consider a move to the Premier League after last week claiming that he needs “to play for a big club in Europe”.
