Milan Skriniar has revealed that he is happy to stay at Inter Milan despite a of transfer rumours linking him with a switch to the Premier league. Tottenham and Manchester United appear to be interested in signing him. The defender has been with Inter since 2017 after making a € 34 million switch from Sampdoria. Since then, he has been one of the top centre backs in Italian football as he has been able to command his position with great aplomb. The defender’s contract with Inter runs until 2023 and he was last offered an extension back in 2019.
Now with Inter back at the top of the table by competing for the title, it is clear thatSkriniar is not want to be leaving the San Siro anytime soon. Earlier in the campaign,Milan Skriniar was hit by coronavirus and he was not involved for several matches. Now, though, the Slovakian is back in the first-team reckoning and he has played a major role in Inter staying with Juventus at the top of the table. The two clubs are separated by just one point with Inter boasting one of the meanest defences in the league. Both United and Tottenham require a centre back for various reasons.Milan Skriniar will be an attractive proposition at just 25 years of age, as he is just entering into the peak.
“It’s difficult to say if I was pleased by the rumours because I wanted to stay here.I didn’t play a lot and I wasn’t happy, but I was happy for the team. Now I’m back to give continuity to my performances, I’m playing a bit more, so I’m happy for this. Each team believe they can win, and we believe it too, but we must give continuity to the results,” said the defender.
