Manchester United legend Gary Neville has urged his club to show their support towards manager Jose Mourinho. The Red Devils recently suffered a second straight league defeat as Tottenham Hotspur humbled them by a 3-0 scoreline but Neville believes the club should continue backing the Portuguese tactician.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Neville admitted that Mourinho has the history of underperforming during his third season with his former sides but he does not want the repeat of the same at Old Trafford, he said: “You can’t keep jumping around with managers. I hear the third-year Mourinho stories and all the rest of it and you can’t disagree with those stories because there is some history.
Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their derby day disappointment when they take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The champions welcome back Nemanja Vidic from suspension though fellow defenders Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans are doubtful with hamstring and calf problems respectively and Robin van Persie remains out with a knee injury.

Manchester United are lining up an improved bid for Everton duo Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines after seeing a bid of £28m rejected out of hand, the Metro understand.
