Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has admitted that he was surprised by Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to join Juventus during the summer transfer window. The Red Devils favourite had expected the Portuguese to either retire with Real Madrid or Manchester United and he was surprised that Jose Mourinho’s side declined to make a move for the Portuguese superstar.
Speaking to The Manchester Evening News, Rob highlighted that he was surprised with the attacker’s decision to join the Bianconeri and believes the Portuguese can change the dynamics of any side he plays for, he said: “I was surprised that Ronaldo didn’t finish his career at Real Madrid or Manchester United. That was a surprising move when he went to Juventus. Someone like Ronaldo can change your season. It can happen.”
It is believed that Italian side Juventus might be interested in signing the young French forward Anthony Martial from Manchester United. Jose Mourinho has hinted that he might allow the player to leave at the end of the season if he gets the right offer.
