UNITED CONFIRM MATA EXIT THIS SUMMER

Manchester United have announced that Spanish playmaker Juan Mata will leave the club this summer. It has been confirmed that the Spaniard will leave Manchester United at the end of his contract at the club this summer. His summer exit from Manchester United was revealed on Thursday.


Mata, 34, has beena Manchester United player since he joined the club from Premier League rivals Chelsea during the 2014 winter transfer window. Manchester United paid £37.1m to secure his transfer from the Blues. Since signing for Manchester United over eight years ago, Mata has won three trophies at the club. He was part of the Manchester United squad that won the League Cup, Community Shield and the Europa League during the 2016/17 season while Jose Mourinho was still the manager at the Theatre of Dreams.

A lot of experienced playersincluding Mata will leave Manchester United at the end of their respective contracts this summer.Apart from Mata, Uruguayan international striker Edinson Cavani and Frenchman Paul Pogba will also leave the Red Devils this summer.

Pogba has been seriously linked with a move to Italian Serie A giants Juventus. The Old Lady are ready to welcome Pogba back to the club six years after his exit. He left Manchester United to sign for Juventus on a free transfer in 2012 though the Italians paid a compensation fee for the midfielder as a Manchester United Academy graduate. He spent four years at Juventus before returning to Manchester United in the summer of 2016. The Red Devils paid a then world-record transfer fee of £89m for Pogba to return to the club. The Frenchman will leave the Premier League outfit for free this summer meaning that they won’t recoup any of the money spent on his transfer. On his part, Cavani has been linked with a move to Boca Juniors in the Argentine top flight.
