United eyeing Ghoulam move

Manchester United have been linked with a move for St Etienne defender Faouzi Ghoulam, Sky Sports understands.

The 22 year old, who is also a reported target for AC Milan, has made sixty-four league appearances for the Ligue 1 side and despite being born in France, made his international debut for Algeria in a 3-1 win over Benin in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Meanwhile, United target Lars Bender has signed a new long-term deal with Bayer Leverkusen, according to the Metro.

Arsenal had an £18.5m bid for the Germany international rejected in the summer, and were too expected to reignite their interest in January, though the 24 year old has committed himself to the Bundesliga club until 2019.

Elsewhere, the club have been told that they will need to pay £12m for Derby County midfielder Will Hughes, the Express understands.

The highly rated 18 year old, who is also a reported target of Arsenal and Liverpool, has already made over fifty league appearances, and has been capped four times for England U21’s.

Finally, the draw for the quarter finals of the Capital One Cup has been made.

David Moyes’ men will travel to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City in the week commencing December 16th.
