Manchester United will be without Robin van Persie and Nemanja Vidic for this evening’s Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
Both missed Sunday’s draw with Cardiff City, and neither flew with the squad to Germany despite Vidic taking part in training ahead of the trip.
Midfielder Marouane Fellaini also missed the match through suspension.
Victory for either side will secure their place in the knockout stages of the competition, though a draw will suffice if Shakhatar Donetsk lose to Real Sociedad in the group’s other game.
United go in to the game on the back of a ten match unbeaten run, and they are yet to taste defeat in Europe this season – winning both of their home games and drawing in both Ukraine and Spain.
Meanwhile, Championship side Wigan Athletic are close to finalising a deal to take striker Will Keane on loan.
The Latics, who currently have fellow United youngster Nick Powell in their ranks, currently sit eleventh in the second tier, and are keen on bringing in the England U21 international to help boost their promotion push.
Keane, whose twin brother Michael also plays for United, international has played just five minutes of first team football for the club since turning professional.
